Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored?
Your entries are written to the Google Sheet you picked, in your own Google Drive. Metryvo's server keeps only what it needs to sign you in and to work with Google on your behalf. The privacy policy lists exactly what.
Can Metryvo see my other files?
No. Google only lets Metryvo open files you pick or create with it.
How do nutrition estimates work?
When a food is not in your list or the shared list, you can ask for an estimate. Metryvo sends the food name, or the
ingredients you type, to an AI model and shows you the estimated values per 100 g. Nothing is written to your own
food-facts tab until you accept it, and then you can correct it there. The estimate itself is kept in the shared
cache either way.
Is there a limit on estimates?
Yes. Each person can request a limited number of estimates per day, so the service stays free. Foods someone has already asked about by name are answered from a shared cache and do not use your allowance.
Why is something slow?
Every read and write goes to Google Sheets. Google limits how many requests an app may send per minute, so a busy moment can add a few seconds. Your entry is not lost; wait and refresh.
Which devices work?
Any recent browser on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, macOS or Linux, and Wear OS watches with a browser. See the web app and the watch companion.
Is Metryvo medical advice?
No. Metryvo is a log. It does not check doses, interactions or diets. Ask a doctor or pharmacist about your medication.
How do I delete everything?
- Delete or keep the spreadsheet in your Drive; it is yours either way.
- Remove Metryvo's access in your Google account settings.
- Write to support and ask us to delete your Metryvo account. We confirm when it is done.
